Kai Patton Signs to Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach

By Presley Harrison, Shield Editor

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, NRCA senior Kai Patton signed his national letter of intent to play baseball at Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach next year.

A hardworking player always on the lookout for ways to improve, Patton has been perfecting his game for most of his life. “Pretty much since I could walk, my dad put a bat in my hand, because he played minor league baseball,” said Patton.

Ever since the beginning, Patton was willing to put in the work to get results on the field. “I do stuff every day, and it’s translated to performance… [I’ve also] had good coaches that have helped me develop to get better,” he said.

After pursuing a college with both baseball and business programs, Patton realized that B&S is exactly what he’s looking for. “They’re a good [junior college], and they’ll set me up to transfer to D1 in two years,” Patton said.

Patton would like to thank the many people who have played a part in helping him achieve his dream of playing collegiate baseball. He said, “[I’d like to thank] my parents and then all my coaches and friends and teammates.”
