Dr. & Mrs. Sherrill Retirement Celebration

Dr. & Mrs. Sherrill Retirement Celebration

By: Ashley Humphrey, Shield Senior Editor

Saturday, August 29, NRCA hosted the retirement celebration for Dr. and Mrs. Sherrill. It was a night full of fun, fellowship, and nostalgia, as friends and family of the Sherrill’s reminisced over the past 25 years of ministry in Kingdom Education. The night included dinner with a time of testimonials, the retelling of the God-Story Journey of NRCA by America’s Got Talent performer Joe Castillo, and both pre-recorded and live performances from all of the past Fine Arts Musicals. The Sherrills were honored to be the first recipients of the Alumni Association’s Worthy Servants Award, an award given to a current or past staff member that has shown consistent faithfulness in serving God  and their students  during their time at NRCA. The night concluded with the announcement of the Fine Arts Center’s new name, the Dr. and Mrs. S. L. Sherrill Center for the Performing Arts. Along with the name, a new display was installed featuring the God-Story Journey of NRCA and a portrait of Dr. and Mrs. Sherrill.

We wished we could have had all our NRCA families and friends join with us during this celebration, but with COVID-19 restrictions, we had to limit the number that could attend. Please take this opportunity to watch this incredible celebration of the Sherrill’s below.
