July 28, July 30, August 4 and August 6
Wow! Summer is in full swing! The 2020-2021 school year is right around the corner and we need to begin planning for how rising 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and all new students will receive their iPads for the fall. Join us on one of the deployment dates for students to come to NRCA, receive their iPad, and begin to learn to use them prior to the opening of school. Each parent and student must attend together and will go through a brief information session along with stations that will provide a step by step process of receiving, protecting, and setting up their new iPads. The entire process will take a little over 30 minutes. Students who will receive an iPad at one of these deployments must be accompanied by a parent to receive their iPad.
We will be observing the following physical distancing guidelines and are asking that everyone please comply.
- Everyone must wear a facemask.
- Follow one-way traffic signs inside the building.
- You must check-in and check-out with the appropriate staff member.
- Enter through the side doors of the Fine Art Center at the arch entrance.
- Follow markings on the floor when in a line or moving from place to place.
Sessions will be available each of these days and times:
- July 28, July 30, August 4 and August 6
- 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30
- Only need to attend 1 session
To sign-up for a deployment session please click the iPad Sign Up button. Each session will be limited to a certain number of families so that we can provide the assistance needed for the process to run smoothly. Please just take 1-time slot per family, NOT per student.
All rising 4th graders and new students will need an Apple ID set-up prior to arriving at NRCA. Please complete this process prior to arriving at NRCA. Due to the limited storage provided for free in iCloud, we have found that using a new Apple ID with the school-issued iPad is most effective. To create an Apple ID go to https://appleid.apple.com/account#!&page=create. Parents can also create and/or connect their student’s Apple ID to a family Apple ID via Family Sharing, more info can be found here https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht201060. Rising 7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders can use the same Apple ID that they used last year, but they need to make sure they know Apple ID and password.
If your student was a 4th grader last year and had an iPad that they kept in their homeroom, then their iPad will be in their new 5th-grade Homeroom on the first day of school.
