Middle Basketball Has a Strong Week in the Weekly Wins: January 6-10

The middle school boys B team earned a dominant win over Cary Christian, winning by a score of 47-16. The Knights’ defense won them the game, only allowing two points in the second half. Davin McCoy had a team high 24 points in the win.  

The middle school girls basketball team downed Cary Christian on Tuesday, winning 38-22. Riggin Wright led the way in scoring with 14 points, and Erica Whitley and Ava Hodges added 8.  

The middle school boys A team got a 35-32 win over Cary Christian on Tuesday with Asa Rogosich and KJ Cox leading the team in points.  On Thursday, the team also defeated Franklin Academy by a score of 29-26. Micah Martin and Sam Erwin were the leading scorers for the Knights. Friday’s game against St. Timothy’s earned the boys another victory with a score of 52-26. KJ Cox led the team in both points and rebounds. 

The swimming team got a dual win in their meet on Thursday against Wake Christian and Grace Christian. Top scorers for the Knights were Makayla Ciancanelli, Jackie Taylor, Allie Taylor, Ivan Tew, Will Benthall, Avery Thomas, and Lindsey Earl.  Coach Sink noted that Will Benthall also swam his first 100 Butterfly.
