The varsity girls golf team had a record-shattering match against Cary Academy last Tuesday at Prestonwood Country Club. The Knights shot a new team record 121 and edged out the Chargers 121-122. Junior Emma Finster also set a record for the Knights, shooting an even-par 34 on a 9-hole course.
This week, 8th grader Annalee Caveney was the team medalist with 39 in the win also against Cary Academy (121-122). Emma Finster scored 40 and freshman Lily Kate Watson scored 42.
Taking two wins this week, the ladies junior varsity volleyball team first defeated Cary Academy on Monday winning the first set 25-10 and the second set 25-18. The Knights next swept Ravenscroft in two sets, winning the first set 25-15 and the second set 25-7. The Lady Knights have still not lost a conference game thus far.
The middle school boys soccer team also notched two wins this week. On Tuesday they delivered a 5-0 win over Trinity. They also battled back from 0-2 deficit to win 3-2 against Grace Christian on Thursday.
The JV boys soccer team also earned a comeback win against Greensboro Day, winning 2-1. Bren Heidorn and Nolan Rock scored goals for the Knights and were both assisted by Josh Lang.
The varsity men’s soccer team defeated Ravenscroft in penalty kicks to win to earn their first conference win. Goals in regulation were scored by Nathan Wolins and Andrew Austin. The Knights also shutout Neuse Christian on Tuesday, winning by a score of 2-0. Both goals were scored by Connor Cabot and were assisted by TJ Nyandoro.
