NRCA Alumnus Eric Walls II is the son of Media Center Director Theresa Walls. He graduated from NRCA in 2009 as valedictorian among several other honors. Poetry has always been a passion of Eric’s since a young age. While attending Washington University in St. Louis, he began using his love for poetry to create songs.
Post college graduation, Eric returned to Raleigh and continued to create music under the stage name Vaughn. A rapper, singer, song-writer, and composer, Vaughn aims to push rap in new directions, creating a unique dimension of music. Drawing from personal experiences and current social issues, his lyrical content and raspy delivery create deep and impactful messages to captivate and move his listeners. His genre-defying sound has been well received, and he has performed at multiple venues around the local area, including Cat’s Cradle. Vaughn’s ultimate goal is to glorify God, using music to unify, encourage, and heal those who listen.
His next performance will be at this year’s N.C. State Fair, October 21st at 4 pm on the Waterfall Stage. Come out and support this NRCA alumnus, and bring a friend!
